Graham McLaughlin (Chair)
Graham McLaughlin is a respected councillor in the Southern Highlands and Deputy Mayor of Wingecarribee Shire Council. Cr McLaughlin is a former Boral worker, with an deep knowledge of the highlands community and an expertise in local government and chairing meetings.
Ann Green is a passionate community sector worker. With experience working with The Smith Family as a partnership broker where she has worked with local business, education providers, community groups and families to provide the necessary support to improve education and life outcomes for young people. Ms Green has also served as a Community Services Teacher with TAFE NSW.
Michael Jones is a club manager of a local Police and Citizens Youth Club (PCYC) since 2008. Michael has a deep knowledge of issues affecting at-risk young people and the communities aound the Lake, particulalry in his previous role as a coordinator of the Warilla Out of Hours Youth Service. This program is a street based service targetting young people not engaged in mainstream support services.
Nicky Sloan is the CEO of the Illawarra Forum Inc, a regional peak organisation for the community services industry. Nicky has held numerous positions in the Community Services industry in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven, working in community development, women’s and family services, and in strategic management. She has also been a volunteer on numerous community Boards. As well as her time in the community services sector, Nicky’s work history includes several positions in local government, work with the Commerce department at the University of Wollongong, banking and finance, and owning and running small businesses.
Bilal Aydemir is full-time director of Internetwork Solutions, and runs a small business incorporated in 2007. With a long and successful career in business and significant achievements in biomedical research. Mr Aydemir is General Manager of Affinity Intercultural Foundation Wollongong, an interfaith and intercultural bridge-building organisation. He is also a member of Illawarra People 4 Peace and an Amity College committee member.
Stephen Semunchuck is responsible for overseeing all the ministry and staff of Dapto Anglican Church and he is licensee of St Luke’s Preschool. Having come to Dapto as senior minister in mid 2002, Mr Semunchuck initiated an important grass-roots community consultation. Mr Semunchuk has a deep understanding of the local community.
Allyson Dutton (Non-voting Committee Secretary)
Allyson Dutton works as an electorate officer for Stephen Jones MP. Ms Dutton will provide secretariat support to the committee and the Federal Member and will ensure that the highest levels of transparency and integrity are mainatined throughout the grants process. Ms Dutton will also serve as the community liaison for community members seeking further information about the grants process.
