Veteran Access Network Office

The Wollongong Veterans Access Network (VAN) office provides critical services for regional veterans.

We strongly support the VAN office remaining open - and call on the government to keep this critical service in the Illawarra.

There are many veterans in the Illawarra, which is why this office needs to remain open. These Vets have contributed more than most others and deserve all our respect

It is crucial for the Wollongong VAN Office to remain open. So elderly veterans that do not have access to computers, nor are able the hear well enough for telephone conversations to the DVA. To have a local office to service their needs.

The Liberal party sends us to war (every time since, and including 1939) but denies us local facilities.

DVA may justify the closure of the VAN office by making their services available online but what about the aged Veterans and War Widows who don’t have the luxury of a computer and internet? Keep the VAN office opened!

Our veterans fought for us & we should offer them every level of support we can & that support should be at a local level.

Who does this bloke think he is- if Mr Abbott and his government is going to do this, tell him and his colleges to stay at home on Anzac Day. We don,t want them there.

The government makes a huge feature of honouring our servicemen but does not guarantee the continuation of support for veterans!
