PETITION LAUNCHED HELP SAVE WARRAWONG CENTRELINK AND MEDICARE!

Sharon Bird and Stephen Jones today launched their petition to try and save Warrawong Centrelink and Medicare from closure.

This week, people of the Illawarra learned that the Turnbull Government would be shutting the Warrawong Centrelink and Medicare office. Sharon Bird and Stephen Jones wrote to Human Services Minister, Michael Keenan demanding he intervene and overturn the decision.

The local MPs have heard from many members of the community in Warrawong, Port Kembla, Cringila, Lake Heights, Primbee, Kemblawarra and Berkeley who are angry at the decision.

The local MPs will be gathering signatures in the next two weeks in an effort to get the decision overturned before the closure currently scheduled for the end of July.
